Affiliated with French Lick Resort, his home course and formerly host of the Korn Ferry Tour Championship. Also plays out of TPC Sawgrass when in Florida.

Close friends with fellow PGA TOUR winner Tyler Duncan. Their friendship began in 2007 at The Legends Golf Club in Franklin, Indiana, where the two played together in the IHSAA state finals. Both ended up at Purdue University, where they graduated from the Krannert School of Management. Schenk and Duncan later played qualified two seasons together on the Korn Ferry Tour, with both earning their PGA TOUR cards in fall 2017. Duncan was also the best man in Schenk's wedding in December 2019.

Has a golden retriever, Bunker.

His hobbies include ping-pong, basketball and spending time at the golf course, beach or farm with Bunker.

Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers and St. Louis Cardinals are his favorite professional teams.

Avid fan of Purdue athletics, including the football and basketball teams.

Played college golf at Purdue University, 2010-14.

Won the Purdue/Midwest Shootout and the Boilermaker Invitational to claim Big Ten Freshman of the Year honors.

Had seven top-10s in 12 events as a junior to be named first-team All-Big Ten.

Collected a wire-to-wire victory at the 2013 Indiana Amateur Championship and was named Indiana Golf Association Player of the Year.

Named first-team All-Big Ten and Academic All-Big Ten after his senior season.
