Attended William Monroe High School in Stanardsville, Va., located about 20 miles north of Charlottesville. Hometown has a population of 377 people.

Has two sisters and two brothers and they all played high school golf. One brother served three tours of duty in Iraq with the United States Marines and is currently a member of the National Guard. Older sister, Katie, was an All-American second baseman for Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Va.

Father, Mike, played in the 1992 PGA Championship at Bellerive CC in St. Louis.

Cousin Jay Woodson won the Golf Channel's inaugural Big Break Invitational in early October (2014).

Is a two-time 2A state golf champion.

Likes to visit Charleston, S.C.

Met actor Bill Murray at the 2012 NCAA Championship in Los Angeles. Would include Murray, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson in his dream foursome.

Favorite sporting event he's attended is the Masters Tournament.

Bucket list includes going deep-sea fishing.
