Amateur Highlights
Played four seasons at Fresno State University (2008-12), earning All-Western Athletic Conference First Team recognition in 2010 and 2011, in addition to winning one collegiate event.
Posted a 72.15 career scoring average, which ranked second in program history behind Nick Watney's 71.16 average from 1999-2003.
As a sophomore, recorded a 71.58 scoring average for the 2009-10 season, which ranked fourth in program history, only trailing three seasons from Nick Watney.
Semifinalist at the 2008 U.S. Amateur Championship at Southern Hills Country Club; he fell to eventual champion Byeong Hun An in the semifinals.
Won the 2011 California Amateur Championship at The Olympic Club; he notably defeated Tain Lee in the quarterfinals, followed by wins over Randy Haag in the semifinals and Kevin Wentworth in the final.
