GLEN ALLEN, Va. – The Korn Ferry Tour has reached its final stop, meaning it’s time to dive into the numbers.
The top 20 players on the season-long Points List after this week's Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by Virginia's Richmond Region will earn 2027 PGA Tour membership. The event is being contested for the first time at The Federal Club, a par-71, 7,073-yard layout with a pair of par 5s on each nine, which sets up plenty of high-stakes drama.
Thirteen of the 20 cards have already been clinched, leaving seven still up for grabs. Sandy Scott and Ross Steelman have run away with the top two spots and will battle for the top spot on the season-long Points List. Whichever player finishes atop the standings on Sunday evening will earn exemptions into next year's The Players Championship and U.S. Open in addition to their 2027 PGA Tour card.
All 59 players in the field have a mathematical chance to crack the top 20. Anyone ranked 43rd or lower on the Points List needs a win to make the leap.
Below are the minimum finishes each player needs to move into the top 20. The projections rely on a formula that assumes low finishes from those around the bubble, keeping the projected top-20 points total close to its current level. Still, it helps illustrate the point gaps throughout the standings.
For the rest of the field who fall outside the top 20 (Nos. 21-60), each player has secured fully exempt status for the 2027 Korn Ferry Tour season. Additionally, the top-five finishers at PGA Tour Q-School presented by Korn Ferry (Dec. 10-13) will also earn Tour cards. Players who are inside the top 60 on the final Points List go straight to Final Stage of PGA Tour Q-School, while Nos. 61-75 start at Second Stage and the rest at First Stage, adding more drama behind the top 20.
