PGA TOUR Americas Points List
The PGA TOUR Americas Points List is modeled after the scoring systems used on the Korn Ferry Tour and the PGA TOUR. The winner of each tournament receives 500 points, while the runner-up receives 300. In the event of a tie (except for first place, which is decided by a tiebreaker), the points are distributed equally among the tied players. As the final tournament of the season, the PGA Oceans 4 Tour Championship presented by Scotiabank will award a higher number of points, with 600 for the winner.
Eligibility
Professional and amateur players with a certified handicap index of 2.0 or lower are eligible to compete. To obtain PGA TOUR Americas membership, players must be 18 years of age or older. Players under 18 may participate in tour events; however, membership eligibility will begin on their 18th birthday.
During the first six tournaments of the season in Latin America, the fields will consist of 144 players. Eligibility will include the top 100 players on the 2025 PGA TOUR Americas Points List, with the top 80 retaining full status until the second reshuffle of the season. Other eligibility categories include players who earned status through the PGA TOUR Americas Q-School, Korn Ferry Tour members, medalists and ties from the 2025 PGA TOUR Q-School Stage One, the top 10 finishers from the previous tournament, open qualifiers, and sponsor invitations.
Beginning with the seventh event of the season—the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas Wichita Open presented by Syndeo—the field size will increase to 156 players. From that point forward, members of the 2026 PGA TOUR University class (ranked 11th through 25th in the PGA TOUR University Rankings) and the NCAA Division II Player of the Year will have full status for the remainder of the PGA TOUR Americas schedule.
Qualifying Tournament (Q-School)
The 2026 PGA TOUR Americas Q-School will be played in March at five different venues across the United States. Previously, Q-School split the season into two segments and was played in May. Now, by being played before the start of the season, PGA TOUR Americas eligibility categories and membership will apply to a continuous schedule of 15 tournaments.
Additional Benefits
Each PGA TOUR Americas tournament has a prize purse of USD 225,000, of which USD 40,500 is awarded to the winner.
At the end of the season, players who earn Korn Ferry Tour membership through the PGA TOUR Americas (the top 10 on the Points List) also gain access to the Final Stage of the PGA TOUR Q-School presented by Korn Ferry, which represents an additional opportunity to earn PGA TOUR membership.
All PGA TOUR Americas members receive access to the PGA TOUR Q-School. Players who finish the season ranked between 11th and 25th on the Points List will gain direct entry to Stage Two, while all other members will be exempt from Stage One, bypassing the pre-qualifying round.
Promotion through Three Victories
Winning three PGA TOUR Americas tournaments automatically grants membership on the Korn Ferry Tour, effective the following week. By winning three of the final six tournaments of the 2025 schedule, Michael Brennan became the most recent player to achieve promotion through three victories in a single season.
Since the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour Finals were already underway at the time of his third PGA TOUR Americas victory, Brennan was not immediately eligible to compete on the Korn Ferry Tour. However, just 28 days after being named PGA TOUR Americas Player of the Year, he accepted an invitation to win the Bank of Utah Championship on the PGA TOUR.
