A 2017 graduate of Palo Verde High School in Las Vegas, Nevada, he was back-to-back individual Nevada State high school champion, beginning in 2015. Was runner-up in 2017.
Took up golf because of his grandma otherwise he says he would have pursued Australian Rules Football.
Claims his only hobby is cars and says, "It's probably the most expensive hobby out there, so good golf is required to fuel the hobby."
Amateur Highlights
Was a three-time All-Mountain West Conference first-team selection after earning MWC Freshman of the Year honors in 2018.
In his first college tournament, took a three-shot lead into the final round of the Southern Highlands Collegiate in 2019, but watched as Texas’ Cole Hammer caught him by tournament’s end. The duo tied for first, two shots over Brandon Wu. Defeated Hammer in the playoff and earned an exemption into the PGA TOUR's Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.
