Amateur Highlights

Began his college career at Florida Southern College. Was a first-team All-American his sophomore year (2015-16) and was a Jack Nicklaus Division II National Player of the Year semi-finalist that season.

Transferred to the University of South Florida for his final two years. Was a 2016-17 and 2017-18 all-conference selection, finishing the season with a 72.3 scoring average.

Was teammates at USF with current PGA TOUR Latinoamerica player Cristian DiMarco.

At the 98th playing of the Florida Amateur in 2015, Jones won the title at Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club in sudden death, defeating Cristobal del Solar on the second extra hole.
