Season Recap

2026 Season

the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday

Earned his fourth PGA TOUR title (and first since the 2024 Shriners Children’s Open) as he defeated Ryan Gerard with a par on the second playoff hole, the par-4 18th at Muirfield Village Golf Club. After play was suspended Saturday afternoon, completed the majority of his third round Sunday morning and carried a four-stroke lead into the final round. Played the first 13 holes of the final round at 3-over par, but rallied and forced a playoff with birdies on the par-4 14th, par-5 15th, and par-4 18th. Followed David Edwards (1992) and Hideki Matsuyama (2014) as the third player who forced a playoff with a birdie on the 18th hole at the Memorial Tournament (all three won). Improved to 3-for-5 converting the 54-hole lead/co-lead into victory, having previously accomplished the feat in wins at the 2022 John Deere Classic and 2024 Shriners Children’s Open. Entered the tournament at No. 94 in the Official World Golf Ranking, making him the lowest-ranked player in the OWGR to win the Memorial Tournament since William McGirt, who stood No. 102 in 2016.
