Amateur Highlights

Played four seasons at University of Oregon (2008-12), garnering two All-America selections, becoming the first four-time All-Pac-12 Conference selection in program history, and recording the highest individual finish (runner-up) by a Duck at the Pac-12 Conference Championships since 1989.

Named an All-America First Team selection as a senior in 2012, which at the time marked the fourth All-America First Team honor in program history (Craig Griswold, 1972; Eugene Wong, 2010 and 2012). Other Oregon All-America First Team selections after 2012 include PGA TOUR winner Aaron Wise (2016), Wyndham Clark (2017), and Korn Ferry Tour winner Norman Xiong (2018).

Garnered an All-America Second Team selection in 2010 as a sophomore, making him Oregon's first All-America selection since George Daves earned the same recognition in 1986.

Earned medalist honors five times at Oregon, which set a program record upon the conclusion of his collegiate career; his school record was later tied by PGA TOUR winner Aaron Wise (two seasons, turned professional following 2015-16 season) and broken by Korn Ferry Tour winner Norman Xiong, who won seven times across two seasons (2016-17, 2017-18) prior to turning professional.

Concluded his career at Oregon as the school record holder for career scoring average (71.40); his record was later broken by Aaron Wise (70.65) and Norman Xiong (69.91).

Helped Oregon reach the semifinals of the 2010 and 2012 NCAA Championships, where they fell to Jordan Spieth's Texas Longhorns in 2012 (Miernicki defeated PGA TOUR winner Dylan Frittelli in his match) and Oklahoma State in 2010.

Helped the United States to back-to-back victories at the 2010 and 2011 Arnold Palmer Cups, posting a 2-1-1 record in 2011 and a 2-2 record in 2010.

Recipient of the Michael Carter Award at the 2010 Arnold Palmer Cup; the award is presented annually to the participant from each team who best represents the qualities and ideals (an infectious, fun-loving spirit) which made Michael unique.

Teammates with 2020-21 FedExCup champion Patrick Cantlay at the 2011 Arnold Palmer Cup, and teammates with multi-time PGA TOUR winner Russell Henley at the 2010 and 2011 Arnold Palmer Cups.
