Daniel Svärd earns first PGA TOUR Americas win at Manitoba Open in playoff over Adam Duncan

Daniel Svärd (Stockholm, Sweden) captured his first professional victory in just his fourth start Sunday, defeating Adam Duncan (Bakersfield, California) in a one-hole playoff to win the Manitoba Open. Svärd made three bogeys over his first five holes but did not drop another shot in the final round. He carded three birdies, including two holed from off the green on the back nine, to return to even par for the round and finish at 14 under.

“It’s pretty wild, the range of emotions that I went through today,” Svärd said after his win. “I started off feeling really confident, and then I had kind of a nightmare start. I had to make some big putts to not completely play myself out of it after three holes.”

After Duncan missed his par attempt on the first playoff hole, Svärd converted his to secure the title. The Northwestern graduate, who earned PGA TOUR Americas status after finishing No. 19 in the 2026 PGA TOUR University Ranking, climbed 104 spots to No. 16 on the Points List with four events remaining.

Duncan closed with a 2-under 68 to match Svärd at 14 under and force the playoff. After opening the week with three consecutive rounds of 66, the 23-year-old battled in the final group throughout Sunday. The result marked his first top-five finish in 18 career starts on PGA TOUR Americas and moved him from No. 89 to No. 23 on the Points List.

Conner Godsey (Rogersville, Alabama) closed with a 4-under 66, his best round of the week, to finish solo third at 11 under. The result moved him from No. 65 to No. 30 on the Points List.

Austin Greaser (Vandalia, Ohio) finished fourth at 10 under after an even-par 70 in the final round. The 2021 U.S. Amateur runner-up recorded his first top-10 finish of the season and moved from No. 68 to No. 40 on the Points List.
