Leadership

Board of Directors

The PGA TOUR co-sanctions tournaments on the PGA TOUR, PGA TOUR Champions, Korn Ferry Tour and PGA TOUR Americas, and administers PGA TOUR Q-School presented by Korn Ferry and PGA TOUR University. The modern-day PGA TOUR was formed in 1968 when a subset of touring professionals broke away from the PGA of America.

Eligibility

Each PGA TOUR player has earned a position on the priority-ranking system that is used to select full-field open tournaments.

Membership

PGA TOUR members represent the world’s best players, hailing from 28 countries and territories.

Impact

Through the world of golf, the PGA TOUR drives positive impact at unprecedented levels to support and improve local communities. Virtually all tournaments are organized as non-profit organizations to maximize charitable giving, and to date, tournaments across all Tours have generated more than $3.93 billion.

FedExCup Season

The 2024 PGA TOUR Season marks the 18th edition of the season-long race for the FedExCup and a return to a calendar-year schedule. Contested from January to August, the 2024 FedExCup Regular Season featured 36 official FedExCup events, including THE PLAYERS Championship, major championships, Signature Events, Full-Field Events and Additional events.

TOUR members earn FedExCup points based on their finish at each tournament, with the FedExCup champion crowned at the TOUR Championship in August. The FedExCup Bonus Pool is $100 million with the FedExCup Champion earning $25 million.

Aon Next 10, Aon Swing 5

At the beginning of the season, the first 50 spots in each Signature Event field are set based on prior year FedExCup standings. The Aon Next 10 and Aon Swing 5 are eligibility pathways for players — not already qualified — to play their way into Signature Events via the FedExCup standings.

• Aon Next 10: The top 10 players, not already exempt, from the FedExCup standings.
• Aon Swing 5: Top five FedExCup points earners, not already exempt, from the swings of Full-Field Events leading up to each Signature Event.

Comcast Business TOUR TOP 10

The Comcast Business TOUR TOP 10 emphasizes player performance by rewarding the top 10 finishers in the FedExCup Regular Season standings, offering a shared $40 million total in bonus money.

Bonus money for the Comcast Business TOUR TOP 10 ($40 million):

• $8 million for first place
• $6 million for second
• $2 million for 10th

Awards

The PGA TOUR recognizes the following awards: FedExCup, Comcast Business TOUR TOP 10, Jack Nicklaus Award (Player of the Year), Arnold Palmer Award (Rookie of the Year), Byron Nelson Award (scoring average), Payne Stewart Award, Courage Award, Lifetime Achievement Award, Tournament of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and Charity of the Year.
