Presidents Cup match previews: Pairings to be announced for Thursday Four-ball session

The 2026 Presidents Cup is nearly underway.

Both the U.S. Team and International Team have wrapped up their on-course preparation at Medinah Country Club, Course No. 3, where the opening matches of the biennial competition begin Thursday. The first session will be comprised of five Four-ball matchups, with U.S. Captain Brandt Snedeker and International Captain Geoff Ogilvy taking turns making their selections during a Wednesday press conference scheduled to begin at 4:45 p.m. ET.

Five Foursomes matches will follow on Friday, with two match sessions on Saturday and Singles matches on Sunday. Click here for information on live scores, tee times, TV times and a schedule of events for this week outside of Chicago.

The U.S. has led after the opening day in eight of the last nine editions of the Presidents Cup, all of which led to American victories. The lone exception came in 2019, when the International Team stormed out to a 4-1 lead at Royal Melbourne in Australia, but the U.S. ultimately rallied for victory. In 2024, the U.S. swept all five matches in the opening session, only for the International Team to win all five matches on Friday.
