Enjoys being on the water, jet skiing, fishing, paddle boarding during his off weeks.

Favorite sports teams are Manchester United Football Club (soccer), Los Angeles Lakers (NBA basketball), Green Bay Packers (NFL football), and Florida Panthers (NHL hockey). Loved Brett Favre growing up and says that is why he is a Packers fan.

Father, Bob, played college baseball; he was a pitcher at West Virginia Wesleyan College, an NAIA program which later became an NCAA Division II program in Buckhannon, West Virginia.

Younger brother, Chase, played four seasons at University of South Florida (2012-16) and played professionally on the DP World Tour (2018 season) and PGA TOUR Canada (2021). Chase was inducted into the USF Athletic Hall of Fame in 2024.

Great uncle is Dick Groat, a two-time World Series-winning shortstop for the Pittsburgh Pirates and the 1960 National League Most Valuable Player. Father Bob Koepka's mother, Mary Margaret, is Groat's older sister. A multi-sport athlete at Duke University, Groat was the third overall pick in the 1952 NBA Draft (chosen by the Fort Wayne Pistons). In 2019, Grout retired after 40 seasons as a radio analyst for the University of Pittsburgh men's basketball team. Groat passed away in April 2023 at 92 years of age.
