Where legends play: Preview '26 PGA TOUR Champions season

    The PGA TOUR Champions 2026 season begins this week in Ka'upulehu-Kona, Hawaii, at the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai. A total of 42 players will tee it up to kick off the 2026 season and the chase for the Charles Schwab Cup in paradise as the event celebrates its 30th anniversary of being held at Hualalai Golf Course.

    The field features six World Golf Hall of Fame members, including defending champion Ernie Els and three-time winner (2009, 2014, 2017) Bernhard Langer.

    The list of past champions teeing up this year also includes 2024 winner Steven Alker and three-time champion (2015, 2020, 2022) Miguel Angel Jiménez, who finished Nos. 2 and 3, respectively, in last year’s Charles Schwab Cup standings. Stewart Cink, who won the 2025 Charles Schwab Cup, is among the notables in the field along with Hall of Famers Fred Couples, Retief Goosen, Davis Love III and Vijay Singh.
