All three PGA TOUR Canada Qualifying Tournaments were filled on Friday, with each 132-player field filling up just hours after registration opened at 9 a.m. ET. Applications are still being accepted for positions on the alternate list to the competition.
The three separate tournaments will take place at Orange County National’s Panther Lake course in Winter Garden, Fla. (April 14-17), La Purisima Golf Course in Lompoc, Calif. (April 21-24) and at Crown Isle Resort and Golf Community in Courtenay, B.C. (May 5-8).
“It’s highly encouraging to see so many players signing up to qualify for PGA TOUR Canada this season. The interest from prospective players is a testament to the work our host organizations have done in establishing high quality tournaments across Canada, as well as how the communities where we play have embraced the players,” said PGA TOUR Canada President Jeff Monday. “We expect the field at each site to be extremely competitive as we identify the next generation of players to earn Web.com Tour status on their path to the PGA TOUR.”
The 2015 PGA TOUR Canada schedule will be released the week of January 19th.
