Cessna joins PGA TOUR as Official Marketing Partner

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. -- Cessna Aircraft Company, the world's leader in general aviation, has become the newest member of the PGA TOUR Official Marketing Partner program, signing a three-year deal through 2014. Cessna becomes the "Official Business Aircraft Manufacturer of the PGA TOUR and Champions Tour."

Based in Wichita, Kan., Cessna will utilize its relationship with the PGA TOUR for brand-building purposes, developing customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities. The PGA TOUR's audience, with a strong base of affluent fans and business decision-makers, aligns well with Cessna's business. In order to take advantage of this alignment, Cessna plans to host existing and potential customers at PGA TOUR tournaments in key markets.

"In golf, elite players continually seek ways to increase their competitive edge. Similarly our customers use our aircraft as their competitive advantage to position their businesses to win in the marketplace," said Roxanne Bernstein, Cessna's senior vice president for marketing. "Our partnership with the PGA TOUR is a natural fit, as golf is a part of many of our customers' personal lifestyles and, just like a business jet, a tool for doing business."
