Statistics relating to speed of play for individual players on the Korn Ferry Tour are now publicly available, adding a new layer of context for fans to better follow the tournament competition each week.

Average stroke time (AST) data was posted on PGATOUR.COM following the conclusion of last week’s Colonial Life Charity Classic. This data shows how players rank relative to field averages, both for a given tournament and for season-long averages.

This follows course and group timing data being published to PGA TOUR digital channels in June 2025.

Rooted in feedback from the TOUR’s Fan Forward research, the initiative to publicize the data for Korn Ferry Tour players was formally approved by the PGA TOUR Policy Board in November. Player-level time data is listed for overall speed of play as well as subsections for each of the four major Strokes Gained categories: Off-the-Tee, Approach, Around-the-Green and Putting (On the Green).

“The publishing of the AST data on the Korn Ferry Tour is an opportunity to provide greater context around a player’s pace of play and the various factors that may impact it during any given tournament,” said Korn Ferry Tour president Alex Baldwin. “We are hopeful this data is not only additive for our players, but allows our fans to feel more connected to what occurs inside the ropes each and every week.

“As we continue to innovate and implement new concepts on the Korn Ferry Tour, this data and the feedback will be most valuable.”

To be shown in the season-long speed of play statistics, a player must have met the minimum-round threshold for all stats, which is 12 through the Colonial Life Charity Classic and will increase as the season progresses. In addition to the minimum rounds, players who are PGA TOUR members must also play 10 or more Korn Ferry Tour events to be included at the season level. Tournament-level AST data will include all players in the field.

Mitchell Meissner considers himself among the faster players on the Korn Ferry Tour, and the stats bear out that assertion. Meissner – who serves on the Korn Ferry Tour Player Advisory Council – is currently ranked 17th in overall speed of play for the 2026 season, averaging nearly five seconds fewer than the average player to hit each shot during competition.

Meissner, whose 10 starts this year are highlighted by a T2 finish at the LECOM Suncoast Classic in April, believes that players “have nothing to hide” by the publication of player-specific speed of play data.

“There was definitely some interest in comparing my timing data to the data of my buddies,” Meissner said. “I hope the fans will be surprised by how quickly the majority of us play, especially considering all the necessary decisions it takes to play one shot and the significant consequences at stake out here.”

The Korn Ferry Tour continues this week with the Visit Knoxville Open, the 11th of 25 events in the 2026 season. Following the conclusion of the Korn Ferry Tour Finals in October, the top 20 players on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List will earn PGA TOUR membership for the 2027 season.
