Met his wife, Luci, while she played on the Symetra Tour in 2017, and he was a Korn Ferry Tour member. They went on dates all around the country whenever their tournaments intersected.

Involved with the Korean American Special Education Center, a charity which helps individuals and families with autism; they also helped with his son, who is on the autism spectrum.
