Wyndham Clark wins THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson, his fourth PGA TOUR title in his 201st start at 32 years, 5 months, 15 days. With a final-round 60, one of four players to post 60 or better in the final round en route to victory on record (David Duval/1999 American Express/59, Stuart Appleby/2010 Greenbrier Classic/59, Tommy Gainey/2012 RSM Classic/60) and marks the second time in his career (2024 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am/60*). Win came in his fourth start at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson (MC/2019, T39/2021, MC/2022, Won/2026) and marked his first top-10 of his season. Led the field in Strokes Gained: Putting (12.573).
U.S. Open
Earned his fifth PGA TOUR title and second major championship (previously won the 2023 U.S. Open) with a one-stroke victory over Sam Burns. Led by two strokes through 18 holes, four strokes through 36 holes, and six strokes through 54 holes as he became the ninth wire-to-wire winner in U.S. Open history, following Walter Hagen (1914), Jim Barnes (1921), Ben Hogan (1953), Tony Jacklin (1970), Tiger Woods (2000, 2002), Rory McIlroy (2011), and Martin Kaymer (2014). Marked the first wire-to-wire victory in a major championship since Brooks Koepka at the 2019 PGA Championship. At 4-under 276, tied Retief Goosen (2004) for the lowest 72-hole score relative to par in the five U.S. Opens contested at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club since 1896. Following the win, rose to No. 8 in the Official World Golf Ranking, marking his first appearance in the top 10 since March 2025.
