Established the Team Reed Foundation in 2016, working with the Greater Houston Community Foundation to help donate time and funds in support of junior golf, local and national children's hospitals, Tower Cancer Research Foundation, St. Benedict's Homeless Shelter in Owensboro, Kentucky, and Wendell Foster's Campus for Developmental Disabilities in Owensboro.

Hosts the Patrick Reed AJGA Junior Championship, one of the longest-running AJGA events. The annual event dates to 1985, with Reed assuming hosting duties in 2014. Since Reed's first year as host, the event amassed more than $1 million in charitable donations and earned numerous AJGA awards, including the Charitable Giving Award on six occasions (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020).

Team Reed Foundation annually covers the cost of the AJGA bag tag program which helps college coaches identify players at tournaments. Patrick is known to carry an AJGA bag tag with the names of his children.

Team Reed also established an Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant Endowment through the AJGA, providing financial assistance to junior golfers who aspire to earn a college golf scholarship through competitive junior golf.

In 2019, Team Reed Foundation partnered with the Southern Texas PGA Foundation and created the Patrick Reed Scholarship. The scholarship recognizes a graduating senior who exemplifies what it means to be a student-athlete through a commitment to academics, athletics, and community involvement $10,000 to be used towards their college education.

His 26th birthday was the same day as the Opening Ceremony for the 2016 Olympics.

Favorite quote is from his wife, who said, "Nerves just mean you're prepared."

In two seasons at Augusta State University (2009-11), earned two individual victories and led the program to back-to-back national titles at the 2010 and 2011 NCAA Championships. Posted a 6-0 record in match play at the NCAA Championships, earning victories over Harris English, Chesson Hadley, Brooks Koepka, and Peter Uihlein across the two national championship runs.

Won the 2010 Jones Cup Invitational at Ocean Forest Golf Club in St. Simons Island, Georgia. Other champions include Luke List (2007), Justin Thomas (2012), Corey Conners (2014), Akshay Bhatia (2019), and Ludvig Aberg (2021).

Semifinalist at the 2008 U.S. Amateur Championship, contested at Pinehurst Resort. Eliminated by eventual champion Danny Lee.

Won the 2006 Junior Open Championship -- a biannual event organized by The R&A from 2000-2022.
