Finished No. 29 on the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour Points List, earning PGA TOUR membership (top 30 from Points List) for the first time in what was his first season on the Korn Ferry Tour. Became the second-youngest graduate in Korn Ferry Tour history, earning his TOUR card at 20 years and 23 days of age. At the time, the only Korn Ferry Tour graduate younger than Potgieter was Jason Day, who earned TOUR membership at the conclusion of the 2007 season at 19 years, 11 months, 23 days of age. At the time, the only other players in Korn Ferry Tour history to graduate prior to turning 21 are Si Woo Kim (2015), Zecheng Dou (2017), and Sungjae Im (2018). Totaled three top-10s across 24 starts, highlighted by his victory at The Bahamas Great Abaco Classic at The Abaco Club, the second event of the 26-event schedule.

Won the second event of the 2024 season, The Bahamas Great Abaco Classic at The Abaco Club, for his first career Korn Ferry Tour win at 19 years, 4 months, 11 days of age, making him the youngest winner in Tour history. Closed the tournament with a final-round 7-under 65, tying the low round of the week and totaling 10-under 278 to earn a two-stroke victory over co-runners-up Quade Cummins, who also carded a final-round 65, and Kyle Westmoreland. Previous youngest winner in Korn Ferry Tour history was Jason Day, who won the 2007 Legend Financial Classic at 19 years, 7 months, 26 days of age. Potgieter also joined Day, Sungjae Im (2018), and Akshay Bhatia (2022) as one of four teenagers to win on the Korn Ferry Tour. Became the seventh Korn Ferry Tour winner from South Africa, and the first since Dawie van der Walt in 2015.
Astara Golf Championship presented by Mastercard
Carded an 11-under 59 on Country Club de Bogota's Pacos Course (the satellite course utilized in the first two rounds of the two-course event) in the second round of the Astara Golf Championship presented by Mastercard, making him the youngest player to card a sub-60 round in a PGA TOUR-sanctioned event (19 years, 4 months, 27 days of age). Held the outright 36-hole lead at 16-under 125 (66-59), becoming the second-youngest 36-hole leader/co-leader in Korn Ferry Tour history, only trailing Sergio Garcia, who led the 1998 Monterrey Open as an amateur at 18 years, 2 months, 11 days of age before he finished T19. Potgieter eventually finished T20.
