Began his collegiate career at the University of New Mexico before transferring to Pepperdine.

Reached as high as No. 11 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Earned PGA TOUR Canada status by finishing 11th on the final PGA TOUR University rankings.

Over his final two college seasons, had four runner-up finishes plus a second-place showing at the 2022 Pacific Coast Amateur, where he fell by two strokes to James Leow Kwang Aik. Didn’t win a college tournament but did pick up back-to-back titles in the summer of 2021, at the New Mexico-West Texas Amateur (defeated Aidan Thomas by two strokes) and at the Maridoe Amateur (beat Brian Stark and Kieran Vincent by two shots).
