Earned a bachelor's degree in music performance from High Point University. Plays the flute, oboe, and saxophone. Learned to play "Happy Birthday" on the piano as part of his degree requirements. Attempted to learn guitar.
A lifelong singer who studied opera as he earned a bachelor's degree in music performance from High Point University. Joined choir his freshman year at High Point because he "thought it would be a great way to make some friends." He began college with an eye toward pre-med, though he quickly became disenchanted with the coursework, and his bass singing voice in the choir caught the attention of professors, who encouraged him to pursue the music performance degree. Performed at Carnegie Hall as part of an a cappella group, and he performed in the Vatican as part of a university choir. Has also sung two solos with an orchestra in front of 1,500 people.
In order to graduate from High Point, needed to complete a "senior recital" -- which is an hour of music from memory. One of the songs he included in the performance was "Straight Down the Middle" by Bing Crosby.
Worked at The Bear's Club in Jupiter, Florida cleaning carts, and previously worked in landscape and construction.
Caddied for PGA TOUR member Joseph Bramlett in two Korn Ferry Tour events in 2019.
Attended Shelter Island High School, a public school in New York, and there were only 16 people (including him) in his graduating class.
