On October 7, 2024, former PGA TOUR commissioner Tim Finchem was honored with the First Tee’s Lifetime Achievement Award. It was under his leadership that a shared vision of making golf more accessible came to life, launching First Tee in 1997 with the support of the leading golf organizations, Augusta National, LPGA Tour, PGA of America, PGA TOUR and USGA.

Ahead of the 2024 Sanderson Farms Championship, defending champion Luke List plays a few holes with the 2024 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Champion Ava Clarke Edney. Edney, 16, was diagnosed with albinism and is legally blind.

Charly Palmer, visual artist, shares the inspiration behind his design of the Bridgestone HBCU Invitational trophy. An element of the Bridgestone Collegiate Development Program, the tournament is part of the PGA TOUR’s Pathway to Progression that aims to achieve greater diversity in golf through increased focus on developing talent from diverse and historically underrepresented groups.

On Thursday, August 29, moments before the PGA TOUR’s 30 best players begin the first round of competition, First Tee – Metro Atlanta members Alana Sims and Nigel Youmans kicked off the 2024 TOUR Championship with the opening tee shots. As part of this tournament tradition, both honorees also receive a $5,000 scholarship on behalf of TOUR Championship Proud Partner Accenture.
