THE PLAYERS is once again proud to continue its policy of providing free or affordable access to the tournament for men and women of the U.S. Armed Services.
THE PLAYERS provides all career military (active duty, Reserve, military retirees and dependents) with complimentary admission to the tournament all week.
All military must bring printed vouchers and photo IDs to the Military Tickets trailers located at any of the tournament gates. At the trailers, vouchers will be exchanged for complimentary tournament tickets for career military and dependents. THE PLAYERS also provides veterans the opportunity to purchase up to two (2) discounted tournament tickets at the trailers. Military can enter the tournament through the following gates: Davis Love III, Nicklaus, and Couples.
Parking is free for everyone Tuesday-Wednesday. Beginning Thursday, everyone (including military) must purchase parking passes in advance of the tournament. Those who carpool with four or more can park for free under THE PLAYERS “Four for Free” policy. All parking information can be found here.
THE PLAYERS week is filled with activities that highlight the “good side of sports,” most notably, a commitment to honoring the men and women who serve in the U.S. Military.
Military Job Fair at THE PLAYERS: Saturday, May 6 from 10am - 1pm
Prior to tournament week, THE PLAYERS will welcome active duty, Reserve, retired military, veterans, and military spouses to TPC Sawgrass on Saturday, May 6 to participate in its sixth-annual Military Job Fair, in partnership with the Jacksonville Military Veterans Coalition. The Military Job Fair is free and open to military personnel, veterans and military spouses who are seeking employment. There will be approximately 50 companies on hand, all with open hiring opportunities. Free career counseling and resume-writing assistance will be provided, as well as, information on local educational institutions with veterans’ programs. Click here for more information.
Military Appreciation Day: Tuesday, May 9 at 6pm
Graeme McDowell will cap off the Military Appreciation Day program, which will include pageantry by military personnel, a flyover by the 125th Fighter Wing of the Florida Air National Guard, a National Anthem performance by Bryon Rowe (US Navy ret), remarks from PGA TOUR Commissioner Jay Monahan and General(Ret) Raymond Odierno and, and a special concert by Sam Hunt. Birdies for the Brave® Patriots’ Outpost: Tuesday through Sunday
Throughout tournament week, all active duty and Reserve military members, military retirees, veterans and their dependents will have access to the Birdies for the Brave® Patriots’ Outpost, a hospitality tent reserved exclusively for the military which offers complimentary food, beverages and activities. Located adjacent to No. 16 tee, the Patriots’ Outpost is financially supported by THE PLAYERS and Jacksonville-area companies and individuals.
Callaway Warrior Club Fitting:
Birdies for the Brave has teamed up with Callaway Golf to provide combat-injured warriors with the unique experience of being fit for their own custom set of golf clubs on the practice grounds during THE PLAYERS through the Callaway Warrior Club Fitting program. Fittings are held on the practice facility and often include interaction with TOUR players. The warriors then receive the custom set of clubs and golf bag approximately six weeks later, all at no cost to them.
