THE PLAYERS is once again proud to continue its policy of providing free or affordable access to the tournament for men and women of the U.S. Armed Services. THE PLAYERS provides all career military (active duty, Reserve, military retirees and dependents) with complimentary admission to the tournament all week. All military must bring printed vouchers and photo IDs to the Military Tickets tents located at any of the tournament gates. At the tents, vouchers will be exchanged for complimentary tournament tickets for career military and dependents. THE PLAYERS also provides non-career military veterans the opportunity to purchase up to two (2) discounted tournament tickets at the tents. All vouchers must be obtained in advance at the link below. Military can enter the tournament through the following gates: Davis Love III, Nicklaus, and Couples.
Thanks to the generosity of many local companies, restaurants, and individuals, including THE PLAYERS past tournament chairmen (Red Coats), THE PLAYERS Championship will provide a complimentary hospitality tent for military personnel and their families. “THE PATRIOTS’ OUTPOST” is located alongside 16 Tee.
Youth 18 and younger are admitted free of charge on grounds Tuesday - Sunday when accompanied by a properly credentialed adult. Note: Youth 6 and older must have a ticket when entering hospitality areas.
• Strict adherence to alcoholic beverage consumption laws will be enforced on course and in all hospitality areas • Alcohol will not be served to anyone younger than 21; proof of age will be required for anyone younger than 35 • Only two drinks may be purchased at a time; spectators are not allowed to carry more than two drinks at any given time
Autographs are not allowed on course during practice days and tournament competition days. THE PLAYERS has designated “Autograph Zones” on course to allow fans the opportunity to meet their favorite players and get their signature. PGA TOUR players have been asked to spend time in the two designated autograph zones before and/or after play to sign autographs for fans.
There are two autograph zones located on the course: • Main player practice grounds/driving range • Scoring area behind 18 green
Effective immediately, spectators are now allowed to take photos all week with their mobile devices throughout the golf course, except in areas of competition during official rounds or when requested by players, security, and TOUR officials to refrain from taking a photo. Receiving or placing phone calls will remain limited to designated “Cell Phone Zones.” As a reminder, cameras are NOT allowed during official rounds. A complete summary of the PGA TOUR’s Mobile Device Policy follows:

• Device must be on silent at all times • Calls may be placed or answered only in designated “Cell Phone Zones” • Devices may not be used to capture audio/video at any time during tournament week • During practice and pro-am rounds, photography is permitted in all areas. • During official competition rounds, photography is prohibited within any areas of competition (i.e. teeing grounds, tee shot landing areas and on/around putting greens) or when requested by tournament staff, security, players, or player representatives. Photography in non-competition areas is permitted. • Data use (e.g., texting, email, etc.) will be permitted outside of the designated “Cell Phone Zones” all week -- Data use is not permitted when players are in position to compete (i.e., when QUIET PLEASE paddles are raised)
If inclement weather is in the vicinity, spectators will be advised on electronic scoreboards. Spectators are encouraged to return to their vehicles or ticketed hospitality venue when this warning is given. Please do not presume that play will be canceled if it rains. Please follow our website, Facebook and/or Twitter feeds for the latest weather information. Re-entry to the tournament will be allowed following a suspension of play.
All items are subject to search. You will be asked to return all unauthorized items to your car.
Permitted: • Personal bags 6”x6” or smaller (CLICK HERE for more information) • Clear plastic, vinyl or other carry items not exceeding 12”x 6”x12” (CLICK HERE for more information) • A one gallon clear resealable plastic bag (CLICK HERE for more information) • At the tournaments discretion, food may enter the tournament in a clear, resealable plastic bag, not to exceed the size of a one (1) gallon bag • Mobile phones, tablets, and PDA’s - MUST be on Silent mode and adhere to TOUR’s Mobile Device Policy (CLICK HERE for more information) • Point and shoot, film or DSLR cameras with lens smaller than 6”; no case (During Practice Rounds Only) • Umbrellas without sleeve • Portable radios with headsets • Medically necessary materials, strollers, small diaper bags, plastic baby bottles, and other essential baby supplies (infant must be with carrier) - items subject to search • Collapsible chairs without chair bags • Binoculars without case • Seat cushions that do not require a carrying case or that do not have pockets or compartments • Segways®, motorized scooters or other personal transportation devices when used as a mobility aid by individuals with mobility impairment
Prohibited: • No bags larger than a small purse 6”x6” including carrying cases, backpacks, camera bags, or chair bags (CLICK HERE for more information) • No clear plastic, vinyl, or other carry items larger than 12”x6”x12” (CLICK HERE for more information) • No plastic, metal, glass cups, cans, or containers of any kind except for medical or infant needs • No computers or laptops • No fireworks or laser pointers • No lawn or over sized chairs • No seat cushions in a carrying case or that have pockets or compartments • No pets, except for service animals • No knives, firearms or weapons of any nature • No video cameras (All Week) • No point and shoot, film or DSLR cameras (During Competition Rounds) • No motorcycles, mopeds, tricycles, bicycles (whether or not motor-driven), skateboards, hoverboards, or other similar devices will be permitted to be operated on or within tournament property. Segways®, motorized scooters or other personal transportation devices are prohibited if not used as a mobility aid by individuals with mobility impairment
Where do I park? On Tuesday and Wednesday, fans can park for FREE in the general parking lot and no parking pass is required. Thursday-Sunday, fans are required to purchase parking in advance ($30 Thursday and Sunday per day for general parking; and $35 Friday and Saturday per day in general parking). Parking passes must be purchased in advance at https://theplayersparking.clickandpark.com. Limited quantity available. Volunteers will not sell parking passes in the lot. Parking will not be sold at Publix or Will Call. For directions via GPS, use 5387 Palm Valley Rd Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
What’s the drop-off and pick-up locations for Uber and Taxi? Uber is the preferred ride sharing partner of THE PLAYERS Championship. The Uber drop off will be at the Sawgrass Marriott (convention center side) and will take short shuttle to Davis Love III Entry. Pick up location will be located outside the Davis Love III Entry (Shuttle B). Getting to THE PLAYERS Championship: 1. Download, or update, the Uber app on your phone, 2. Enter Destination: THE PLAYERS Championship, 3. Arrive at the Sawgrass Marriott Conference Center, 4. Take the designated Uber shuttle from the Sawgrass Marriott Conference Center to the Davis Love III Entry located inside TPC Sawgrass, 5. Enter the tournament through the Davis Love III Entry. Leaving THE PLAYERS Championship: 1. Exit tournament grounds through the Davis Love III Entry, 2. Follow the tournament signage to designated Uber pick up area outside the Davis Love III Entry, 3. Once at the Uber pick up area, open the Uber app on your phone and enter your preferred destination, 4. Get in available Uber and head to your preferred destination. THE PLAYERS is also streamlining the process for taking a cab to and from the tournament. More information coming soon.
Where can I find information on Carpool parking? Fans can park for free and help THE PLAYERS to go green by carpooling to the tournament. Four or more guests in a vehicle can park for free Thursday through Sunday with the “Four for Free” parking voucher. Fans can go online to https://theplayersparking.clickandpark.com to download the voucher, which allows free parking in the general lot off of CR210. NOTE: A new voucher must be downloaded and printed for each day, but there is no limit to the number of days guests can park for free. Limited quantity available.
Are there shuttles? Shuttles are available from downtown-area hotels to TPC Sawgrass for THE PLAYERS, Wednesday through Sunday of tournament week. Shuttles from the Jacksonville Landing, Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront and DoubleTree Riverfront will be available to hotel guests and for residents to "park and ride," providing a convenient and cost-effective way for fans to get to and from the tournament. Fans can access the shuttles by purchasing a shuttle pass at the hotel (Omni Jacksonville, Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront, Lexington Hotel and DoubleTree Riverfront) front desks for $10 (roundtrip). Pick Up Times: Hyatt Regency Jacksonville - 7:45 a.m., 9:50 a.m., 10:45 a.m., and 12:50 p.m. Hogan Street side of the Jacksonville Landing - 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m., and 12:30 p.m. Riverplace Blvd. outside of the DoubleTree Riverfront - 8:20 a.m., 9:15 a.m., 11:20 a.m., and 12:15 p.m. Return Times: Wednesday-Saturday, shuttles will return to the hotels each day leaving TPC Sawgrass at 2 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Sunday shuttles will return to the hotels each day leaving TPC Sawgrass at 2 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 5 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Are chairs allowed? Folding, lawn, and beach chairs are prohibited. Only collapsible chairs, without bag covers, are allowed.
Where do I purchase tickets for the tournament? Tickets for THE PLAYERS 2017 are on sale at www.THEPLAYERSChampionship.com as well as at 55 Publix stores throughout Northeast Florida and the surrounding areas, including two locations in Georgia. Stadium Passes are $25 for Tuesday, $20 for Wednesday; $60 Thursday and Sunday, $65 for Friday and $70 for Saturday. Fans can also purchase a weekly Stadium Pass for $225, which includes admission Tuesday-Sunday. Stadium Pass prices are exclusive of sales tax and do not include parking. Does THE PLAYERS allow re-entry into the tournament? Yes, fans must get their hand stamped prior to leaving the tournament in order to re-enter that day.
