Puerto Vallarta Blue Agave Golf Classic

PUERTO VALLARTA, JALISCO, MEXICO - Planning for the Champions Tour Golf event at the Jack Nicklaus Signature Course at Vista Vallarta Club de Golf in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico is well under way.

The Puerto Vallarta Championship will be played March 27 - April 2, 2006. Player practice rounds will be March 27^th and March 28^th. Open Qualifying Round will be held on March 27, 2006. For more information call the Tournament office.

The official competition will be played from March 31^st through April 2^nd and will be preceded by two days of pro-am play sponsored by Western Union, a global leader in electronic commerce and payment services.

The 54-hole stroke-play tournament will feature a 78-player field and official prize money of $1.6 million, with the winner collecting $240,000. All three rounds of the event will be aired on the Golf Channel in the United States and ESPN2 in Mexico.

Some of the greatest players on the Champions Tour today, including Dana Quigley, 2005 Player of Year, Craig Stadler and Hale Irwin are planning to attend this event.

General Admission tickets are available for the event for $10.00 USD daily, Monday-Thursday, $15.00 USD daily Friday---Sunday and Weekly passes are also available for $50.00 USD. Tickets are available by calling the tournament office at 322.290.2672 or through many local charities.

Tickets are also available for spots in the Pro-Am tournament Sponsored by Western Union on March 29^th and March 30^th. Spots are available for $2,000.00 USD and participants will be able to play with some of the greatest golf legends in the world. Trophies, prizes, social activities and weekly grounds passes are also included.

A portion of the net proceeds from The Puerto Vallarta Golf Classic will be donated to local charities in Puerto Vallarta.
