TOM KITE COMMITS TO THE BOEING CHAMPIONSHIP FIELD

DESTIN, Fla. - Nineteen-time PGA TOUR winner Tom Kite has committed to play in the 2007 Boeing Championship at Sandestin, slated for May 28-June 3 at the Raven Golf Club.

Kite, the 1992 U.S. Open champion, joins an impressive list of early commitments for the Boeing Championship at Sandestin, including Ben Crenshaw, Nick Price, Curtis Strange, Craig Stadler, Raymond Floyd, and Peter Jacobsen among others.

"We are thrilled that Tom Kite will be participating in our event," said Larry Long, TBC tournament director. "Tom is a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame and is one of the legends of the game. He has played well on the Champions Tour the last few years and will be a factor at our tournament."

Kite ranks 13th on the Champions Tour money list through the first eight events of the 2007 season, having won $225,159. He is also currently ranked 15th on the 2007 Champions Tour Charles Schwab Cup points list with 249 points through eight events.

The Austin, Texas, native opened the 2007 season with back-to-back second place finishes at the MasterCard Championship at Hualalai and the Turtle Bay Championship.

"We expect to have one of the best fields of any event on the Champions Tour," Long added. "Tom's commitment to our event is an example of how the Tour players feel about this tournament, this golf course and this area. Golf fans are in for a real treat."
