2008 Toshiba Classic Seeks Volunteers
Newport Beach, Calif., November 29, 2007- The Toshiba Classic is now seeking volunteers for the 2008 tournament, to be
held March 3-9 at Newport Beach Country Club. In it's 11th year, the Toshiba Classic, which benefits Hoag Hospital, is one
of the premier sporting events in Orange County and attracts close to 80,000 spectators each year.
Volunteers are an integral part of the Toshiba Classic - each year nearly 1,000 volunteers participate to make the tournament
a success. There is something for everyone, from tournament scoring to security.
Volunteers will need to commit to a minimum of two days from March 3 through 11. The cost is $75 for new volunteers, which
includes a uniform, food vouchers, admission into the Toshiba Classic for the entire week of the tournament and an extra admission
ticket.
To register to volunteer, visit www.toshibaclassic.com or contact the volunteer office at 714/352-6309.
About the Toshiba Classic
Hoag Hospital Foundation produces the annual Toshiba Classic. During the last ten years, the Toshiba Classic has raised more
than $10 million for charity, the most on the Champions Tour. In the PGA Champions Tour's 29-year history, only nine out of
more than 600 tournaments have raised $1 million in net proceeds from an event in a single year. For more information, please
call 949/660-1001 or visit www.toshibaclassic.com.
