July 15, 2009 - Baltimore, MD - Tournament officials at the Constellation Energy Senior Players Championship have extended
Baltimore charitable organizations the opportunity to participate in TICKETS Fore CHARITY, an innovative fundraising platform
designed to improve the quality of life in communities where the PGA TOUR events are held. The new program will offer
registered 501(c)(3) organizations a chance to raise funds by promoting tickets sales to the Champions Tour's final major
championship of the year, the Constellation Energy Senior Players Championship to be held September 28-October 4 at Baltimore
Country Club in Timonium, MD.
TICKETS Fore CHARITY enables participating charities to receive contributions based on the number of tickets sold in their
name. 100 percent of net proceeds from tickets purchased through the program will go to charity: 75 percent to the charity
promoting the tickets and 25 percent to The First Tee of Baltimore, a non-profit organization dedicated to impacting the lives
of young people by providing learning facilities and educational programs that promote character development and life-enhancing
values through the game of golf.
"Giving back to the community is at the heart of everything we do, so we are very excited about this new program," said
Steve Schoenfeld, Executive Director of the Constellation Energy Senior Players Championship. "TICKETS Fore CHARITY
is a win-win for all, as it provides a no-risk fundraising vehicle to local organizations and allows spectators a chance to
experience world-class golf while positively impacting the lives of those in their community."
Non-profit organizations interested in participating in the TICKETS Fore CHARITY program may contact R.J Trzaska in the
tournament office at 410.853.7064. To purchase tickets to the Constellation Energy Senior Players Championship and designate
your favorite participating charity as the beneficiary, please visit www.ceseniorplayers.com/tfc.
Prices range from $20 for an individual grounds ticket to $90 for a weekly ticket package.
The Constellation Energy Senior Players Championship is one of five major championships on the Champions Tour for eligible
professionals age 50 and over and features a field of 78 players competing for a share of the $2.7 million purse. Since
the inception of both the Senior Players Championship and the former Constellation Energy Classic, nearly $9 million has been
raised for charities in the communities in which the tournaments were staged. The Constellation Energy Senior Player
Championship is part of "The Road to the Charles Schwab Cup", a season-long points race that kicks off in Hawaii with 25 official
events and culminates in Northern California at Sonoma Golf Club October 26 - November 1, with $2.1 million in payouts awarded
to the season's top five leading performers. #
