Liberty Mutual Insurance Legends of Golf

(Savannah, GA) - World Golf Hall of Fame member and 1992 U.S. Open champion, Tom Kite, has committed to the 2007 Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf, Executive Director Tim Iley announced today.  The 30th Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf will be held April 16-22 at the Westin Savannah Harbor Golf & Spa in Savannah, GA. 

Kite enjoyed continued success on the Champions Tour in 2006, notching his eighth and ninth career victories at the AT&T Classic and Boeing Greater Seattle Classic, respectively.  The 19-time PGA TOUR winner recorded 12 top-10 finishes on the year, including a streak of seven-consecutive top-10's from mid-July through mid-September. 

The Austin, TX resident has gotten off to a tremendous start in 2007, posting T2 finishes at both the season-opening MasterCard Championship at Hualalai and last week's Turtle Bay Championship.  He currently stands second in the year-long Charles Schwab Cup race and third on the Champions Tour official money list. 

Despite compiling a stellar resume on the Champions Tour since turning 50 in 1999, the Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf has not been kind to Kite.  In four starts, the former Texas Longhorn's best finish is a T13 in 2002.

Tickets are on sale now at Kroger Super Markets throughout Savannah, GA, Waycross, GA, Augusta,GA, Hilton Head, SC, Myrtle Beach, SC and Beaufort SC starting at $25 for a daily pass (The price of single day tickets increases to $30 at the gate).   Weeklong Legends Club passes are $75 ($65 for age 60+).  Legends Club passes include admission into the Legends Club Pavilion Wednesday-Sunday.  Tickets may also be purchased by calling toll free, 877-942-1123 or visiting the tournament's Web site at www.libertymutuallegends.pgatour.com.
