BALTIMORE, Aug. 18, 2005 - Organizers of the 2005 Constellation Energy Classic today announced the addition of two new golfers who have committed to compete during the Baltimore-area stop of the PGA TOUR Champions Tour, to be held at Hayfields Country Club in Hunt Valley, Md., from Sept. 12-18, 2005.

Joining the roster is Hale Irwin, who has already won twice on the Champions Tour in 2005. Irwin currently ranks sixth in Charles Schwab Cup Points, grossing more than $1 million in season earnings for the tenth straight year. Fans will remember that Irwin made a furious charge over the final few holes last year, but was held off by the eventual champion, Wayne Levi.

In his twentieth year on the Champions Tour, world-renowned golfer Gary Player will join the ever-growing list of competitors vying for a shot at victory. At age 69, Player still maintains an active playing and travel schedule and has shot his age or better several times in competition. Player has traveled the most miles of any athlete in history - more than 14 million and counting.

"We are more than excited to welcome the latest addition of players to our star-studded line-up," said Joe Rotellini, executive director of the Constellation Energy Classic. "Having so many marquee players commit to play to our event this early is a testament to the growing success of the Constellation Energy Classic and the Champions Tour golfers' affinity for Baltimore."

In addition to the illustrious player announcements, event organizers today announced that two ticket packages for the Baltimore-area stop of the PGA TOUR Champions Tour will include $50 worth of McCormick & Schmick's restaurant gift certificates. Ticket holders who purchase the Clubhouse Package or Weeklong Grounds Pass will receive two $20 dinner certificates and one $10 lunch certificate, courtesy of McCormick & Schmick's.
