Amateur golfers encouraged to sign up now to secure remaining spots in popular event at Constellation Energy Classic

BALTIMORE, August 16, 2004 - Organizers of the Constellation Energy Classic today said that playing positions for this year's McCormick Championship Pro-Am event are almost sold out. The Pro-Am tournament, to be held on Sept. 29-30 at Hayfields Country Club in Hunt Valley, Md., will pair amateur golfers with legendary golfers such as Tom Watson, Peter Jacobsen, Jim Thorpe and Larry Nelson, the defending champion of last year's Constellation Energy Classic.

"We only have a few spots remaining for the McCormick Championship Pro-Am, so we're issuing a ‘last call' for any amateur golfers who don't want to miss the opportunity to play with some of the game's greatest players ever," said Joe Rotellini, tournament director for the Constellation Energy Classic. "By entering the tournament, local golfers will have an opportunity to play a once-in-a-lifetime round of golf, while making a contribution to four Maryland-based charities: the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, Kennedy Krieger Institute, Living Classrooms Foundation and the Robert Packard Center for ALS Research at Johns Hopkins. Last year more than $300,000 was raised for organizations through the Baltimore Classic Fund."

To register for the McCormick Championship Pro-Am or to purchase tickets for the event, please call the tournament office at 410-234-7225 or visit www.ceclassic.com.
