NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. (June 27, 2010) - The spotlight of professional golf shines on Aronimink Golf
Club June 29-July 4 when Jim Furyk, Tiger Woods, Vijay Singh, and some of the game's brightest stars compete in the $6.2 million
AT&T National.
Woods is the defending champion of the four-year-old AT&T National, which has already earned lofty status as one of
the premier events on the PGA Tour.
The 120-player AT&T National field is both long on quality and achievement, with 66 PGA Tour tournament winners on
hand to tackle the 7,237-yard par 70 layout, designed by the legendary golf course architect Donald Ross and updated by Robert
Trent Jones, Sr.
Eleven major championship winners - Woods, Furyk, Singh, Lucas Glover, Justin Leonard, David Toms, Y.E. Yang, Shaun Micheel,
Davis Love III, Lee Janzen and Steve Elkington - will test their mettle against a peer group that also features four players
who finished in the top 10 at the recently contested U.S. Open at Pebble Beach Golf Links. Woods leads that contingent,
but he is joined by Brandt Snedeker, Alex Cejka and third-round U.S. Open leader Dustin Johnson.
Also certain to stir up the mix at Aronimink Golf Club are such young superstars as Jason Day, Sean O'Hair, Hunter Mahan,
Justin Rose, Rickie Fowler and Nick Watney. Fowler, a 21-year-old rookie from Oklahoma State, boasts impressive credentials
this year, including four top 10s with two runner-ups, at the Waste Management Phoenix Open and at the Memorial. Day,
22, won his first PGA Tour event in May at the HP Byron Nelson Championship. Mahan, 28, has also won this year, edging
Fowler at Phoenix to record his second PGA Tour victory.
The AT&T National occupies a vital position on the PGA Tour calendar, only one week removed from the British Open,
and an important gauge for players to test the standard of their games. The AT&T National remains integral to the
season-long FedEx Cup race, and 500 points are at stake, not to mention Ryder Cup points that are on the table. But
in addition to points, the winner's share of $1.16 million is riding on the outcome.
Last year at Congressional Country Club, Woods closed with a final-round 67 to post a one-shot victory over Mahan, who
came within a whisker of victory by finishing with an eight-under par 62.

In addition to paying tribute to the military, the AT&T National benefits the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation, the
Boys and Girls Club of Philadelphia and the Tiger Woods Foundation.
