CASTLE ROCK, CO--- Six-time PGA TOUR winner Sergio Garcia will be among the list of participants in the 2006 INTERNATIONAL at Castle Pines Golf Club, August 7-13.  For golf fans across Colorado, the effervescent Spaniard is sure to be a welcome addition to the field.

"We always love to see Sergio - one of the dynamic personalities on the PGA TOUR - play here," said Executive Director Larry O. Thiel.  "His game is very strong right now and we look forward to seeing how that translates at Castle Pines." 

Garcia has won a $1,040,733 so far this year, placing him 51st on the PGA TOUR Money list.  He had his best performance of the year earlier this month at the British Open.   An opening round 68 and a 3rd round 65 - his best of the year - kept him in contention all week, but he wound up T5.  After his performance there, Garcia said he feels confident in his game.

"I felt very good last week, the best probably that I have felt all year," Garcia said. "I felt calm, comfortable with myself." 

This will be Garcia's seventh appearance at The INTERNATIONAL.  His best finish came in 1999 when he finished T13, taking home $50,267.  In all, he earned has 111 points and $292,766 at Castle Pines.    
Other names that were added to the field today include Colorado Open Winner Dustin White and PGA TOUR Players Jonathan Byrd, Stewart Cink, Jason Gore, John Huston, Thomas Levet, Steve Lowery, Rocco Mediate, Shaun Micheel and Kirk Triplett.
