The 2004 Booz Allen Classic begins a new era for one of the area's top professional sporting events and its title sponsor - Booz Allen Hamilton. To date, the tournament has distributed nearly $8 million to local and national charities, at a rate in recent years of approximately $500,000 annually. Beginning with the 2004 Booz Allen Classic, tournament host Washington Golf Charities, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed in 2003 to host the Booz Allen Classic, and Booz Allen Hamilton have committed to significantly increasing the amount raised for charity, with 100 percent going to Washington area charities, more than doubling any prior year's charitable giving to the local community.

KemperSports has operated the tournament since 1979.
