27 winners from the past two years are now entered to play the $6.4 million Zurich Classic of New Orleans April
25-May 1
NEW ORLEANS, LA (March 2, 2011)-Former Zurich Classic of New Orleans champion Andres Romero, who won here in 2008, has
committed to play this year's event, announced tournament director Tommy Fonseca.
"We are proud to welcome Andres back to New Orleans," said Fonseca. "He joins seven former Zurich Classic winners and a
total of 27 PGA TOUR winners over the last two years committed to play here in 2011, "Fonseca added.
In addition to Romero, former Zurich Classic winners who have already committed to play in New Orleans this year include:
Jason Bohn (2010), Jerry Kelly (2009), Nick Watney (2007), Tim Petrovic (2005), Vijay Singh (2004), Steve Flesch (2003) and
David Toms (2001).
Other PGA TOUR winners over the last two years who have made recent commitments to play the Zurich Classic of New Orleans
April 25-May 1 include Michael Bradley, who won the 2009 Puerto Rico Open; Pat Perez, winner of the 2009 Bob Hope Classic
and Rory Sabbatini, who won the 2009 HP Byron Nelson Championship.
