Conrad Ray and Tom Kalinowski to play in Nationwide Tour event

HUDSON, Wisc. --- The Scholarship America Showdown is pleased to announce that it has granted sponsor exemptions to Conrad Ray and Tom Kalinowski for the tournament, which will be played July 5-11 at Troy Burne Golf Club.

These exemptions allow Ray and Kalinowski to compete in the Nationwide Tour event for shares of the $475,000 prize purse.

Ray's highlights include:

  • Won the Charleston Classic in 2000
  • Two top-10 finishes on the Nationwide Tour in 2000
  • A member of the 1994 NCAA champion Stanford squad
  • Finished second at the PAC 10 Championships in 1997
  • Runner-up at the 1992 Minnesota Junior Championship

Kalinowski's highlights include:

  • Tied for eighth at the 2001 Monterrey Open in Mexico
  • Made the cut in 21 of 29 events in 2000, with his best finish a tie for second at the Lakeland Classic
  • Ranked in the top 10 in four separate statistical categories on the 2000 Nationwide Tour, including total birdies (third), consecutive cuts made (third), and top-10 finishes (sixth)
  • Won three Dakota Tour events and the Nevada Open
