MINNEAPLOIS, Minn. -- The Scholarship America Shot at College will take place on Tuesday, July 6, 2004 at Troy Burne Golf Club in Hudson, Wisc., as part of the Scholarship America Showdown. Students between the ages of 12-17 are encouraged to take a shot at a $25,000 college scholarship.

The first 300 eligible registrants receive Scholarship America Showdown tickets for Tuesday, July 6. All participants are treated to entertaining and educational clinics by Nationwide Tour golf professionals and receive a free lunch and commemorative t-shirt.

Each student takes a shot on the driving range and a group of semi-finalists is determined. The semi-finalists will hit again and the contest is narrowed to one finalist. That lucky finalist is invited back to putt for the $25,000 scholarship following the conclusion of the play on Sunday, July 11, in front of spectators, players and the media. No pressure, right?
