The Golf Channel to Televise the Mark Christopher Charity Classic Presented by Adelphia in 2004 and 2005

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif.-- The Golf Channel will return to Empire Lakes Golf Course to televise the 2004 Mark Christopher Charity Classic Presented by Adelphia. The live broadcast will begin Thursday, Sept. 30 through Sunday, Oct. 3 from 2-4:30 p.m., PST.

A committment has been made to fund television coverage on The Golf Channel by the board of directors through 2005. The tournament dates for 2005 have not been released.

"The Golf Channel telecast allows the local sponsors and fans to maximize the experience of PGA TOUR quality golf. With a year's know-how under our belt with international TV via The Golf Channel, we feel that the telecast in 2004 will be spectacular," said Stephen Wagner, tournament director.

The Mark Christopher Charity Classic Presented by Adelphia is one of only 16 Nationwide Tour events that will be telecast from around the world in 2004 on The Golf Channel. The Golf Channel has the exclusive rights to telecast Nationside Tour events.

The Nationwide Tour event will be televised for the second time in the tournament's history on The Golf Channel with 11 hours of live telecast and 22 hours of replay.

The Mark Christopher Charity Classic Presented by Adelphia will be held Sept. 27 - Oct. 3 at the Arnold Palmer-designed Golf Course in Rancho Cucamonga.
