February 28, 2006 GREENVILLE, S.C. (February 15, 2006) - Looking for an opportunity to see Hollywood superstars such as Kevin Costner, Wayne
Gretzky, or Catherine Bell? What about legendary golfer Gary Player? Well, here's your chance! Volunteers are needed for the
2006 BMW Charity Pro-Am at The Cliffs golf tournament at The Cliffs Valley, The Cliffs at Walnut Cove and The Cliffs at Keowee
Vineyards golf courses where Costner, Gretzky, Bell and Player, to name a few, have competed in the past. Opportunities to
volunteer include: hospitality, marshal, on-and-off course, scoring, transportation, and others.

call (864) 297-1660 or log on to the tournament's website at www.bmwcharitygolf.com where an application can be completed
online. Applications must be completed and returned by March 15, 2006, with a $35 uniform package fee. The uniform package
includes a golf shirt and hat, two passes to the tournament (one for the volunteer and one guest pass), food and beverages
for volunteers during shifts, and an invitation to the all-volunteer party to be held at a later date in the summer.
Uniform
pick-up is Saturday, April 22, 2006, at The Cliffs Valley golf course. A post card will be mailed to all volunteers with assigned
pick-up times.
Celebrities are in the process of being selected for this year's tournament, but some of the personalities
that have participated in the past include: Costner, Bell, Gretzky, Kurt Russell, former Vice President Dan Quayle, Dan Marino,
Johnny Bench, Kevin Sorbo, Brad Daugherty, Cheech Marin, John O'Hurley, Steve Spurrier, Lou Holtz, George Rogers, Brian Griese,
Steve Bartkowski, Alice Cooper, Ben Wright and Jennifer Mills.
The 2006 BMW Charity Pro-Am at The Cliffs golf tournament
will be played April 27-30, 2006 at The Cliffs Valley, The Cliffs at Walnut Cove and The Cliffs at Keowee Vineyards golf courses.
All four rounds will be televised live by The Golf Channel. The BMW Charity Pro-Am at The Cliffs is the only tournament on
the Nationwide Tour where amateurs and celebrities are grouped with Nationwide Tour professionals in a three-day better-ball
competition.
Amateurs, celebrities and pros will rotate between each of the three courses on Thursday, Friday and
Saturday, with the 14 lowest scoring pro-amateur/pro-celebrity teams advancing to play Sunday's final round at The Cliffs
Valley course. Celebrities will play once at each course on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
The professional winner
of the overall 72-hole event will take home $112,500 from the total purse of $625,000, which is one of the largest purses
on the Nationwide Tour. Amateurs and celebrities will compete for individual prizes and cash donations to the charity of their
choice out of the beneficiaries selected by South Carolina Charities, Inc. The first five tournaments have raised more than
$3 million for area charities.

the 29 selected charities or by calling (864) 297-1660. Children 14 and under are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
