| Playing his rookie season on the Nationwide Tour in 2007, finishing the year No. 96 on the money list, with $57,019. Made the cut in 11 of 17 starts, with top-10 finishes posted at the Pete Dye National Mining Association Classic (T7) and the Northeast Pennsylvania Classic (T10). Made
two starts on the PGA TOUR in 2007, with a T52 at the Buick Classic his only made cut. Missed the cut at the 2006 Scholarship America Showdown at Somerby, his only career start on the Nationwide Tour. Playing as an amateur, missed the cut at the 2005 U.S. Open but bounced back by finishing T40 at the 2006 U.S. Open at Winged Foot. Played on the Hooters Tour and the U.S. Pro Golf Tour in 2006, winning twice on the latter Tour at the Cypress Creek Invitational and the Cobb's Glenn Classic-the first two tournaments of that Tour's existence. Went on to win 2006 Player of the Year honors. Was a semifinalist at the 2003 U.S. Amateur. Finished second that year at the NCAA Championship and was named to the World Amateur team, representing the United States along with Spencer Levin. Won the 2002 Southern Amateur. Earned All-American honors three times during his career at Auburn University. Two-time member of the U.S. Walker Cup team (2003, 2005). Got his start in golf when his dad cut down one of his clubs for him to use. Lists Tiger Woods as his hero. Says having a putt on the final hole to win a tournament as his biggest thrill in golf.
