| Current Year Nationwide Tour Highlights |
| In just his second career start on the Nationwide Tour, finished T6 at the HSBC New Zealand PGA Championship. Despite opening with 1-over 73s in the first two rounds, bounced back with a 68-69 finish to pull within three shots of a Nicholas Thompson/David Morland IV playoff. Played in
the final pairing at the Livermore Valley Wine Country Championship, but an 8-over 80 left him well behind winner Omar Uresti. Posted a career-best T4 at the Fort Smith Classic. After rounds of 68-67-69, posted a career-best, 8-under 62 to finish two shots behind winner Jay Williamson. Shared the lead after the first and third rounds at the LaSalle Bank Open, but a 73 in the final round led to a T9-his third top-10 showing of the year. Breakthrough performance came at the Legend Financial Group Classic-where a final-round 67 and a tournament-record, 16-under 268 made him the youngest player to win a PGA TOUR-sanctioned event. At 19 years, 7 months, 26 days, surpassed the previous youngest players to win on the two Tours, including Johnny McDermott's (19 years, 10 months) win at the 1911 U.S. Open and James Oh's (21 years, 5 months, 27 days) victory at the 2003 Mark Christopher Charity Classic. Gave a Tiger Woodsesque fist pump as a 6-foot birdie putt on the last hole found the bottom of the cup to give him a one-stroke win over fellow Aussie Scott Gardiner. The win made Day the Tour's 20th winner from Australia, with his victory the 30th overall by that group-also a Tour record. The win began a five-tournament stretch where he posted four top-five finishes, including a T5 at the Nationwide Children's Hospital Invitational, a runner-up effort at the Cox Classic and a third-place finish at the Xerox Classic. Of particular note was a weekend dual in Omaha-perhaps one of the most exciting in Tour history-where Day posted rounds of 62-63 but still finished one stroke behind winner Roland Thatcher. His 17-under 125 in the final two rounds equaled the lowest 36-hole score in Nationwide Tour history. It had been posted on three previous occasions, by Jeff Freeman (2001 Fort Smith Classic, third and fourth rounds), Jason Gore (2002 Gila River Classic, first and second rounds) and David Branshaw (2002 Gila River Classic/second and third rounds). He played the front nine Saturday (28) and Sunday (29) at 13-under. Was named the Tour's Player of the Month in July.

Breakthrough performance came at the Legend Financial Group Classic, where a final-round 67 and a tournament-record 16-under-par 268 made him the youngest player to win a PGA TOUR-sanctioned event.
