One of the most consistent performers on Tour this season, with six top-10 finishes. Made the cut in 11 of his first 15 starts of the year, failing to finish worse than 25th in any of those appearances. Finished in a four-way tie with Nick Flanagan, Chris Baryla and
Bryn Parry at the Henrico County Open, but settled for a runner-up finish to Flanagan. Collected $33,600 for his efforts to move into the top 20 on the money list-a position he wouldn't relinquish the rest of the season. Posted top-10 finishes in conesecutive starts at the LaSalle Bank Open (T3) and Knoxville Open (T9) before breaking through for his second career win on Tour at the Peek'n Peak Classic. Four rounds in the 60s (69-67-69-68) led to a tournament-record, 15-under 273 final score and a three-stroke victory over Paul Claxton. Collected $108,000 and moved all the way to fourth on the money list. Was named the Tour's Player of the Month for June. Took over the top spot on the money list when he stepped into the winner's circle for the second time in 2007 at the Cox Classic, collecting $117,000. Finished a Tour-best 24-under 260 in Omaha, clipping Jason Day by a single stroke in one of the most exciting final-round showdowns in Tour history. Set up his victory with a 64-63 start in the opening two rounds, the low first-36 hole score all season-and then added a 68 in the third round to equal the low 54-hole score of the year. Last top-10 finish of the season came at the Oregon Classic (T6). Played in the final group on three occasions in 2007, finishing runner-up at the Henrico County Open, and then winning at the Peek'n Peak Classic and the Cox Classic.

Regained his PGA TOUR by virtue of his second-place finish on the 2007 Nationwide Tour money list. Led the money list until the final event of the year, the Nationwide Tour Championship, as Richard Johnson passed him. Made the cut in 16 of 28 starts in 2007, with a

Entered the final hole of Q-School needing a par to earn his TOUR card, but his approach hit a cart path and bounced on the top of the Bear Lakes clubhouse. He dropped into an unplayable lie and finished with a triple-bogey 7, missing his TOUR card by three strokes. Still shot final-round 69. Played the Golden Bear Tour in 2000-01. 2000 Southeastern Conference champion. Earned first-team All-SEC honors and second-team All-American honors. 1998 and 2000 Scholastic All-American. Named four consecutive years (1997-2000) to the Scholastic All-SEC team. Lived off the fifth hole at TPC The Woodlands since age 2.
