1998 U.S. Open at Olympic Club. Final-round 69 was one of just four rounds in the 60s on Sunday. His T6 finish earned him a spot in the 2007 Masters...Finished solo third at the U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee thanks to a closing 6-under 64. 2005: Collected his 100th career top-10 at the U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee in late July with a fourth-place finish...Best finish was a T3 at the Memorial Tournament, his best finish since finishing solo third at the 2003 Bank of America Colonial. Was the outright leader through 18 and 36 holes and shared the lead through 54 holes...Served as Captain's Assistant for the second time to Jack Nicklaus for the winning United States Presidents Cup team. 2004: Best finish among three top-10s was a T6 at the Buick Open...Shot a career-tying 62 in the final round of the Buick Championship...Was disqualified after four holes during the third round at the Buick Classic for playing a nonconforming ball under Rule 5-1. Sunday 68 gave him four-stroke victory, his fifth win in last six seasons, over Lowery and Tim Herron...Finished T2 at the Invensys Classic at Las Vegas, one shot behind champion Phil Tataurangi. 2001: Finished T2 at Nissan Open. Lost in six-man playoff won by Robert Allenby at Riviera CC...Earned fifth PGA TOUR title and first playoff victory at B.C. Open. Career playoff record had been 0-6 coming into the event. Open, but closed with 72 to finish four strokes back of Mike Sullivan. 1992: Finished second at U.S. Open, where final-round 71 was one of only four sub-par rounds that day...Had earlier second-place finish in AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am...T4 at Masters, where he became first player to ace fourth hole during opening-round 65 that produced tie for lead. 1991:Nearly won twice in 1991...Finished one stroke behind Ted Schulz at Nissan Open and lost playoff to Billy Andrade at Kemper Open. 1990: Posted a runner-up finish at the KMart Greater Greensboro Open. 1988: Won first TOUR title at the PGA Championship at Oak Tree GC. Trailed Paul Azinger by three strokes through 54 holes, then shot 6-under-par 65 to win by three. 1987: First close encounter with victory came at THE PLAYERS Championship. Lost a three-hole playoff to Sandy Lyle.
