Due to torn ligaments of right forefinger that forced a withdrawal at the Frys.com Open, will be granted Minor Medical Extension for 2007.
Coupled with 2006 winnings of $192,134, has two events to earn $468,764, equaling the No. 125 from 2006. Runner-up finish was third consecutive top-10 at Redstone GC...The 1995 British Open champion finished T15 in St. Andrews, his best finish in a major since winning in 1995 at St. Andrews...Lost in a playoff for the second time, falling to Woods on the second extra hole at the WGC-American Express Championship at Harding Park in San Francisco. One stroke back of Colin Montgomerie through two rounds (6-under 132) and one ahead of Montgomerie through 54 (9-under 201) before finishing 72 holes tied with Woods, who began the final round two strokes back.
