Description: Sam Saunders was caddying for his grandfather Arnold Palmer at the 2004 Arnold Palmer Invitational, his last year playing the tournament. Saunders recalls the memorable shot where Palmer took driver off the deck at the par-4 18th at Bay Hill Club & Lodge.

In 1962, a then 22-year-old Jack Nicklaus defeated Arnold Palmer in a playoff at Oakmont Country Club. The U.S. Open was Nicklaus’ first PGA TOUR victory and marked a symbolic “changing of the guard” moment for the game.
