    • HONDA CLASSIC INTRODUCES WINE GARDEN TO THE BEAR TRAP

PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL - The Honda Classic will introduce another innovative level of public hospitality to its signature hole in 2010.

The tournament will partner with RBC Bank to create The RBC Bank Wine Garden, a raised 2,000 square-foot hospitality area bordering the 17th hole which will provide all spectators with sampling opportunities from a variety of winemakers along with covered seating with unobstructed sightlines to the most energetic location on the tournament grounds.

Wines from various parts of the world will be available for purchase by the glass or bottle in addition to wine labels owned or licensed by Honda Classic past champions Ernie Els and Luke Donald. The covered casual seating area is open to the public as they sample the wines.

The selected wines are Luke Donald Chardonnay, Englebrecht Els, Chalone Vineyard Chardonnay, Rosenblum Chardonnay, Chalone Vineyard Merlot, Chalone Vineyard Cabernet, New Harbour Sauvignon Blanc, San Telbo Malbec, Sterling Meritage, Archetype Shiraz, and Jade Mountain.  The RBC Bank Wine Garden will also feature Mimosa with OJ and Bellini Peach drinks with Stella di Notte sparkling wine.

"The RBC Bank Wine Garden is a new initiative for us to present another fan experience at the tournament," said Honda Classic Executive Director Kenneth R. Kennerly. "This is the first time a PGA TOUR event in Florida has put together a wine garden for the public. Fine wine. Tablecloth service. All of it overlooking the 17th hole. It's a venue for people who want a little different environment. We hope to expand our spectator base by continuing to incorporate unique high-end experiences that dove tail with the Palm Beach County community."

There will be visual demonstrations of grape stomping at the RBC Bank Wine Garden throughout the tournament in addition to educational seminars by Robert Cook of Shalone Vinyard in Monterey County. Luke Donald will sign autographs on Wednesday.

Wine Tour Paks, which will consist of an any day tournament ticket with parking, three two-ounce wine samples of choice, one full glass of wine and coupons good for benefits at five area restaurants, are being sold for $60.  The five restaurants are I-Bar at PGA National Resort, Jupiter Island Grille, The Bistro, Brio Tuscan Grille and Duffys. They are each offering a free appetizer or free dessert.
