Adam Scott posted a score on a roller-coaster Sunday at The Barclays and wound up winning. Turns out, Scott's putting was just as up-and-down as the final-round leaderboard. He struggled in Rounds 1 and 3, but got things rolling in Rounds 2 and 4. We'll take a look at that, and see what Scott and Justin Rose accomplished that's only been done five times in the past 20 years by going inside the numbers ...
3 Number of bogey-free rounds for Scott this season. … This may come as a surprise, but Scott has posted just three bogey-free rounds in 48 rounds played in 2013. One of them (66), of course, won him The Barclays.

He was 11th in Round 2, picking up 2.458 strokes on the field average and 9th in Round 4, picking up just over 2 strokes on the field average. Surprisingly, he struggled in Rounds 1 and 3. He lost 1.591 strokes on the field average on Thursday, which ranked 104th in the field. On Saturday, he lost 2.054 shots, which ranked 67th. He ranked 33rd for the week in strokes gained-putting (.210).
15 Number of greens in regulation Scott hit during his final-round, 5-under 66. … Scott hit his first nine greens on Sunday, and hit six of nine the rest of the way. Of the three missed greens on the back nine, he saved par on all of them. He ranked T15 in the field in scrambling at 68.18 percent for the week.
51 of 56 That’s how many fairways Graham DeLaet hit at The Barclays during his T2 finish. … DeLaet posted a final-round 65 and was the best in the field for the week at 91 percent of fairways hit. That’s the second-best mark of 2013, and only the second mark over the 90-percent barrier. Only Ryan Moore’s 96.43-percent mark (54 of 56) is better. Moore’s mark is also the best on TOUR since Joe Durant hit 98.21 percent of his fairways at the 2006 84 LUMBER Classic. Also, DeLaet hit 14 of 14 fairways twice on the week, having never previously done that in 257 prior rounds. DeLaet ranks first in total driving and third in greens in regulation on TOUR. He's also No. 1 in ball-striking.

McIlroy finished T19. … This is the second time this season and the sixth time of his career McIlroy has led the field in driving distance. In four of those six events, he finished in the top 10. He also led the field during his runaway victory at the 2012 PGA Championship. Coincidence or not?
