ShotLink Player Notes Here are some of the players you'll see on the CBS's coverage of Saturday's third round BUBBA WATSON Bubba Watson fired Friday's round of the day with a 7-under-par 65 on the North Course. Watson hit just 7 of 14 fairways but managed to still hit 17 of 18 greens. Watsons 65 was even more impressive considering thats exactly how hes finished his first 2 events of the 2010 season (both 7-under-par totals - Hyundai TOC: -7 & Bob Hope: -7). PHIL MICKELSON Phil Mickelson finds himself just three shots out of the lead this week despite ranking 2nd to last (T-76) for driving accuracy (29%). Friday on the South Course, Mickelson hit just two fairways from the tee (tied for last in the field) but still managed to shoot a 3-under-par 69. There were six other players who hit just two fairways from the tee today and only one other player besides Mickelson was able to do so and shoot a sub-par round (Brandt Snedeker: 3-under on the North Course). RICKIE FOWLER Rickie Fowler with be paired with Phil Mickelson in tomorrows third round. The last and only other time these two played together was in the final round of the 2010 Farmers Insurance Open where Fowler shot a 2-under-par 70 and Mickelson shot a 1-over 73 (Fowler finished T-5 and Mickelson finished 19th). Fowler has now played all six of his career rounds at the Farmers Insurance Open under par. In his career here, hes a combined 19 under converting 27 birdies, seven bogeys and one double bogey. His lone double bogey came on the 17th hole in last year's final round.
KEY ROUND 2 VIDEOS: • Tiger Woods struggled in the middle of his round, but made a nice par save on No. 17. • John Daly kept things rolling on the North Course by in spite of an ugly double-bogey. • Anthony Kim was dialed in on No. 10 in the second round and sits just two strokes off the pace.
